To My Bossy Big Sister

You may be bossy, but you make beautiful children. All my sister's girls have French middle names. It's a nod to my brother-in-law and where he served his mission. We do it too. Our kids have Canadian middle names. Somehow it's much less impressive.

Click on the photos to see how beautiful they are in larger format. Somehow the pics look loads better blown up. Once again, blogger isn't being kind to me.

Are All Big Sisters Bossy?

Mine is. She called me today to see if I felt better. I have strep throat. And Trevor isn't lying when he says it's H. E. Double. I wanted to die Saturday night. Oh the aching and the chills and the sweating and the horrible anticipation of swallowing, knowing that it was going to feel like gulping razor blades. She was so sweet to check on me.
Then she chastised me for my lack of blogging. Had I finish Amber's pictures yet? She asked. Almost, I replied. Because we're all getting sick of the teaser, she retorted. I'll work on it today, I promised. You'd better, she probably thought, but was kind enough not to say aloud. What she is really after, are pictures of her own sweet daughters that she knows are next on my editing list. I see right through her compassionate games. So I dragged my sleep deprived (4.5 hours last night...but I won't mention that I spent the entirety of Sunday in bed via Trevor's orders) body downstairs and began working. I've been here all day (minus fixing and eating lunch, finding certain Lego pieces and changing sagging diapers) and I'm finally done...ish. There is more I want to do and I'm still waiting for more pictures to come from my awesome, second shooter (cough, cough Melly). But there are plenty to share and plenty more that I could share but won't. So, Amber, thank Becky for lighting a fire under my convalescent bum and I apologize for taking forever to finish!

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Jack!

I love this series. Amber couldn't keep a straight face!

This wasn't staged, he was truly carrying her off the field. Such a gentleman;)

and my favorite shot of the day...

That's my niece in there y'all! If only everyone had a little sister like Courtney! She's the hottest assistant ever and knows where to get the best tamales too.

Jeff and Amber Teaser

I want to do this wedding/weekend in Washington post justice and I don't have the time right now. But I just loved this picture so much I thought I'd share. They are so beautiful inside and out. I know that's cliche but I really don't care.

By the way, the only thing I photoshopped was removing a crop circle from the background. That sky was real! I was sort of freaking out over it.

Amy and John Got Married!

It was a month ago, but hey, I have my excuses and I'm going to use them til they're squeezed bone dry. Amy got married. To John. We like John. But more importantly, Amy likes John. They got married one year to the day they met. How romantical.

The best part of the weekend was that it was sans kids. The worst part was that it was also sans Trevor. Curse being an adult and have responsibilities like supporting a family and working and whatever. I did, however, get to go to my very first night club (if you don't count Club Omni in Provo...and I don't). It had been years, years, since I had been dancing. The girls night out was so fun, due in large part of the girls I was out with. The club scene just made me very happy that I live the life I do, which is genereally, clubless. And boys have really dumb pick up lines these days. On a more materialistic note, we did find Amy's super hot bridal shoes!

I digress. Amy was married right on the strip and asked me to take a couple of pictures before and after the wedding. I'm always willing to comply.

~We met Elvis. I'll be honest, he creeped me out. The opportunity was too good to pass up though, and I had him hold the rings!~

I just love this girl and I couldn't be happier for her!

The P Family

This great little family goes way back with Trevor's cousin, Sunny. They were super fun to play with and their sassy little Miss B is a natural model;) She totally knows how to strike a pose!

Baby J!

I finally (FINALLY!) got to see my sweet new precious niece. I was sort of starting to sulk about all the necessary (and they REALLY are necessary) precautions we all have to take around her. She's still in a fragile state. You can imagine my elation when Chelsea called me and asked me to take pictures of her. A very busy weekend wasn't going to deter me from meeting Jilly (I so hope it's okay to call her that). I haven't even finished editing all the pics yet, but this one makes me almost want to have another one...almost. She is the sweetest baby ever. I wanted to smack those big juicy lips, but I didn't. I was a good auntie.

~Could you just kiss those full little lips?~

Miss R Got Baptized!

And her Mama asked me to take pictures, so I did.

I took pictures of family...

And gifts...

And some details...

of Abby admiring Rae's dress...and a hot guy I saw there. I'm pretty sure that with a haircut and shave, he'd clean up nice.

We are so proud of you Rae! Thanks for letting us share in one of the most important days of your life! We love you!
